Our bike maintenance classes are hands-on learning so that you gain the most from the class. We run classes in Castlecomer Discovery Park which are available to book below. We periodically run classes in Cycle Superstore in Dublin and can also cater to group bookings in a location of your choice.

Our maintenance classes are suitable for all types of bike including road and mountain bikes. What each class covers varies slightly depending on the questions asked by the group but here is a sample of what is covered:

Part One (you do not need to have done part one before part two but it is recommended)

– Drivetrain maintenance incl. checking chain wear, replacing a chain, cleaning a chain
– Diagnosing drivetrain issues
– Fixing broken chains/using quick links/using chain break tools
– Removing tyres using tyre levers
– Replacing tubeless valves
– Using tyre plugs
– Tubeless maintenance
– Removing pedals
– Removing the rear wheel
– Assessing brake pads
– Diagnosing braking issues

Part Two (you do not need to have done part one before part two but it is recommended)

– Changing gear, brake and dropper post cables
– Deraileur adjustments using b and limit screws
– Indexing gears
– Changing brake pads
– Bleeding brakes
– Making brake adjustments
– Centering discs/wheels
