Here are some freqently asked questions...

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please do email me at [email protected], I’m more than happy to help!

We specialize in coaching beginner, improver and intermediate riders who want to build a solid foundation of skills. Children are welcome when accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Nope! We cater from complete beginners up, if you’ve never sat on a bike before it’s not a problem, we would recommend our 1-1 lesson to get you started and we have a variety of group lessons available suitable for beginner and intermediate riders. Tell us where you’re at, and we’ll help you get where you want to go!

You will need your own bike, or you can hire one from a bike rental company. If you need to rent a bike for in-person lessons, please get in contact prior to booking to ensure the venue has access to bike hire. If bringing your own bike, hardtails, full-suspension and e-bikes are all welcome, please ensure it is in proper working order for the lesson.

A full kit of mountain biking gear is something you acquire overtime so don’t be worried about having all the right kit – however a properly fitted helmet is mandatory, if you are hiring a bike this will be included. Trainers are acceptable but converse-style shoes are preferable due to grip. Wear comfortable active wear – leggings that are close fitting around the calves are preferable, so the material does not snag on the bike, and layers are best for the upper body so you can add and remove depending on the conditions. Gloves are advised.

Bring a rainjacket, some water and an open mind! I always find it handy to have a spare change of clothes and shoes, and a snack, in the car for after a session.

All of our lessons are based around skills practice within a small area so there will not be a massive amount of uphill or downhill sections, as such, our lessons are suited to those who may feel they struggle with their fitness.

I host lessons in Bree, Co. Wexford and at various trail centers around Ireland. I can coach at any official trails including club venues that are sanctioned by Coillte, so if you don’t see a lesson available to book in your area, please get in contact to arrange one.
